Getting to your first class

When to arrive

Please arrive at 1:30 p.m. Doors open at 1:45 p.m. Arriving 30 minutes before class gives you time to find the entrance. Please expect a short wait before doors open, followed by check-in and security before our 2:00 p.m. class.

Check-in is planned for 1:45–2:00 p.m. Please have your original ID ready. BAC does not admit participants after the program has started.

By metro

Take Line 10 to Liangmaqiao Station, Exit B (亮马桥站B口). Walk northeast toward the intersection of Tian Ze Road (天泽路) and An Jia Lou Road (安家楼路). BAC’s instructions place the visitor entrance north of the Visas Office.

What to bring

请于下午1:30到达；1:45开门，2:00开始上课。活动开始后停止入场。请携带有效的实体照片身份证件；复印件或照片不被接受。不得携带大件包袋或笔记本电脑。手机、iPad及其他平板电脑、智能手表可以携带入场。

• Your original, valid Chinese resident identity card (居民身份证). International participants should bring their original passport. Please do not rely on a photo or photocopy. BAC requires a valid physical photo ID.
• Your phone or tablet—for example, an iPhone or iPad—to access your personal Speech Studio and scan course QR codes. Charge it before class. Please use the device’s on-screen keyboard; do not bring an external keyboard.
• Your personal Studio email and assigned participant code, saved somewhere you can find them easily.

Large bags and laptop computers are not permitted. Phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted. Follow the security staff’s instructions at entry.

Check-in and help

This class is for confirmed Story Behind the Speech participants. Tell staff you are attending the Beijing American Center workshop and have your original ID ready.
